How To Escape Being In A Battle Field

Deuteronomy 31:6 - “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you."
Psalm 28:7 - “The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving."
2 Tim 1:7 - “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline."

Some days, it just seems like everything is going wrong. Like nothing 'we' do helps. Like everyone is against us! Like we are in the middle of a battle zone, and we keep getting shot at from every direction! First of all, Eph. 6:12 reminds us that the battle isn't flesh and blood, but spiritual! The realm of darkness that the enemy lives in, tries REALLY hard to discourage us, make us panic in fear, and the goal: to blame God and turn away from God!

How do we actually walk through troubles? The first thing is to read the bible and pray. In times of trouble I like to read the Psalms. They show me how other people turn to God in the hard times that they were in. Have a look at Ps 22, 31, 37, 38, 46, 51. See how the writer is not scared to speak their fears and troubles to God and God answers them. Read them and then pray to God in the same way, telling God how you feel, asking Him for help and waiting on Him. The second thing is to pray these verses of promise back to God. Say them aloud when you are under attack. Memorize them if you can. Or write them down on index cards or in Notes in your phone - any way you can quickly get them and read them.

Oh dear, sweet Sister/Brother - you are SO special and precious to our Father! So special, He has given you His full armor to put on, daily - so DO IT!! Right now, read thru and actually do the movements to REALLY put each piece on! (Eph. 6:11-18) Some days we are in the valley, some days on the mountain top. Have you ever noticed tho, that there isn't any grass on the mountain top?!? But there is LOTS of flowers, grass, birds - LIFE, in the valley! That's where things grow!

No matter what you are going thru - Jesus is right there too! Plus BONUS: He IS working things out, in ways we can't see!! Just like Romans 8:28 tells us: “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them." Hang on to this, it is TRUTH! Happy Friday! I'm praying you put on your armor, and use these verses to slay the enemy! 🛡⚔️
