Who's Hand Is Reaching For You
Psalm 138:7-8 “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life. You stretch out Your hand against the anger of my foes; with Your right hand You save me. The Lord will vindicate me; Your love, Lord, endures forever— do not abandon the works of Your hands."
Strange visual on this one! Maybe because of the chapter before... but it was of a jail or prison. Even if we were in the hardest spot in our life, and in jail - the Lord would be with us! SEVERAL times in scripture, the words "Your right hand" 'helps, holds, saves us' is said.
According to Isaiah 41:13, our Father holds our right hand. I see a picture of a child walking alongside a parent. Maybe on a wall or beam of sorts. As they are walking, if the child starts to slip or fall, the parent is holding them with their LEFT hand, which makes their RIGHT hand free to catch, shield, direct, and even save from harm or disaster. Well, EVERY day, we are children walking on balance beams in our life! Trying to juggle and balance all of our spinning plates! But, even if that was all taken away, and we were to end up in jail or prison - God would still be holding our right hand, standing and walking with us right in the middle of it. So, no matter what, we need to praise Him! Yes, in good and in challenging times - He IS our loving Father, He will save us, and He will vindicate us!!
How would you respond today, if police came to your door and took you away? Somehow, you are being punished for something you did YEARS ago. You cannot take anything with you. You are alone. Do you have enough scripture on your heart, to pray them to God? Do you trust Him to provide a way in this? Do you reach up and grab hold of His hand, or do you stubbornly jerk away, and sulk that you are in this position? Though we walk in the midst of trouble, He will preserve our life!!
Today, stay out of trouble! But if you are in a jam, hold up your right hand, grab hold of His hand, and believe these verses!! They are a promise to us! Write them on your heart! Be blessed today - ABC praises to God, it will be music to His ears.
