How Do You Care For Your Heart & Home
Psalm 101:1-2 “I will sing of Your love and justice; to You, Lord, I will sing praise. I will be careful to lead a blameless life— when will You come to me? I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart."
Beautiful way to start the day! However, ouch! The last part 'I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart' - I REALLY need to 'conduct' my house!! I have fallen out of practice with a routine, and it is therefore leading to disorder. I am praying for diligence and consistency for myself to get things in order. The other part, 'blameless heart' - I asked the Lord what that means for me? He whispered that what my Mom did or didn't do, I am not to be blamed for. However, that which I DO know, I need to follow. Gladly, as if I were doing it for Jesus. Well, of course I 'know' that way of thinking, but I just don't follow it like I want to. It is hard to let go of the past sometimes. Both from the actions of others as well as our choices and actions. The past cannot be changed. WE must NOT get stuck there! Yes, we may have a lot of work ahead of us, in order to clean up the mess we may have made, and the wake that flows behind us.... we can ONLY do it with the guidance and direction of the Lord Jesus Christ. Not on our own, in our own strength, but by His power. Relying on the Holy Spirit is not easy for some, I get that! We were created though to have "need" - and that "need" is only filled by Jesus, not all of the other crazy things we have around us in our day to day life. When we are following His will, direction, guidance... then we WILL be able to 'sing praises' as easily as it is to breathe. Which, will also allow us to lead blameless lives, and conduct the affairs of our house with a blameless heart. God looks at and see our 'heart' and the intentions we have in the things we do. LOL Sometimes, our intentions and are actions don't match up - but He really DOES see our heart!!
Today, ask the Lord to reveal what 'is and is not' your responsibility in your life. What you will be held accountable for. Then focus on those things, NOT the things of the past which you cannot change anyway. Be blessed and well today!
