Who's Fighting For You

Psalm‬ ‭95:6-7‬ “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.”

Another song. Today, in your mind and heart, let's do these verses! How can we do this? Well, literally, we can get down on our knees and bow before Him. Closing our eyes and picturing Him before us. We can in our hearts 'bow down and kneel' before Him too (in case we cannot actually get on the floor). By being calm, quiet, peaceful - and just closing our eyes and getting in His presence. When we are in a relationship with our Father, we gladly come to Him at all times of the day. Like a child, or a lamb even (both are called kids). As they run and play, they always keep their Father/Shepherd in view. Maybe just a glance here and there, but in view. If the Father/Shepherd speaks, the 'kids' both hear it right away, and look towards Him to see what He is doing and or saying. Now, if we are in rebellion - what do we do?!?! We look the other way, or even run farther away in the opposite direction. Not only do 'kids' do this, but we do this as well. Thank goodness for free-will and free-choice, but sometimes it actually gets in the way of us fully listening to what God has in store for us! Our free-will can actually get us into trouble, lost, separated from His protection... Today, if you have been regularly bowing down and worshiping God, yay!! Keep it up! If you have wandered out of 'sight' but are still in "hearing range", then listen for His voice and come back closer to Him. Now, if you are totally out of view and out of hearing range - here is the GREAT thing!!! YOU may have wandered off, and may even be lost out there somewhere.... Do you know what? You are NOT alone! Nope. Walking right next to you, patiently walking/running with you each and every step of the way - is Jesus! He won't push you, He won't crowd you. He won't even get in your face, until you say He can. When you reach out your hand, look up, and ask for His help/guidance/rescuing...THEN He will step in like the dad in the movie Taken. He will fight for you! He will fend off the enemy, and lovingly bring you into His protective arms. THAT then deserves worship from us to Him!

You can NOT have wandered too far away, done anything too bad or wrong, and neither can you EVER be out of His sight. Yes, even though you may try really hard, because you ARE His precious child, He IS with you always! Let me tell you, coming back into His arms, and being treated like royalty... feels SO good!! Yes, there may need some 'healing' time, to bandage up the cuts and bruises we got out on our own - but He will be right there for however long it takes! Reach out, take His hand. Ask to be healed and made clean and new again! I'm praying for you, your day, your past, and more importantly - your "today" which is the start of your future!
