How To Get Thru Dark Times

Psalm‬ ‭112:4, 6-7
Vs 4: “Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous."
Vs 6-7: "Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord."

"They will have no fear of bad news" - Well, wouldn't that be a nice way to live every day?!?! I feel like I live like this most days. However, there are times when I worry about things or situations. We all do. It is the getting stuck in that fear, that most believers in Jesus, do not get stuck in. "Bad news" for anyone, has its moments of fear, worry, uncertainty... yet, knowing and believing that God has a plan thru whatever it is, and knowing that our hope is in Jesus, not the circumstances - well, that makes it all possible for us.

Ever hear the saying, "The worst day as a Christian, is better than the best day ____!"
Well, it's true. Even in hard, scary, unknown times, we have Jesus - and no matter how dark it seems, His light shines thru and gives us hope! When our hearts are focused on Jesus, He's our rock! He provides us with each thing we need each step of the way. I for one, am VERY thankful for His light in dark times! His 'light' is available for us at any time!! We just need to 'open' it / turn on our God Flashlight. His Word is our light. It shines truth on our path. We must open it and follow it - otherwise, we are but wanderers with blindfolds on. Grabbing at thin air, blinded by evil and sin. Truth may hurt a little, may 'clean out' some things we have been comfortable in or with. But it's like a wound, in order for it to heal and not get infected - it needs to be cleaned out. That's what scripture does! It's good, right, and freeing!! Today, ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to any cleansing your heart may need. Then look that up in the concordance and see what our Father says. Let His light shine the way! He may even show you that you are walking right, and bless you with praises! "their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord." This is how our God sees you! Be blessed today!
