How Is Your Light Today
1 Timothy 5:24-25 "Remember, the sins of some people are obvious, leading them to certain judgment. But there are others whose sins will not be revealed until later. In the same way, the good deed of some people are obvious. And the good deeds done in secret will someday come to light."
Interesting, that the things we do and say, in the form of sin and or deeds - ALL will be revealed at some point in time. I have had this happen in my life after someone has passed away. Either by reading their journals, or by papers and or pictures that were found. Interesting, how some people actually live a "double life". Sad. We here on earth don't have any say-so in their eternal living space, but when they stand before God at the final judgment, they WILL have to answer for those things. Even if, we here on earth never find out, God sees and knows, and will have His final say when they stand before Him. The same is true, for the 'good things' we all do. Some of it others see now, but a lot of it is done without others knowing. These things too, God knows, and He will reward us when we stand before Him. The last part of this verse, "And the good deeds done in secret will someday come to light" was described once to me in a way that I have a MEF (minds eye flash) when I read this!
When we get to heaven, we are ALL given crowns to wear. These crowns sit on our heads facing others. So that others will see them when they look at us. We don't see them, they are on top of our heads LOL So, the bright, shining, glorious gem stones that God will place in them for us, will shine out towards everyone who sees us. We may have a light as bright as a light-house light. Or perhaps, we will have a light that could be seen from outer space (if they could see in heaven). We could have one as bright as a search-light spotlight. Some will have small flickers of candle light. Some powerful flashlights. Can you just picture it?! Everyone you come in contact with in heaven WILL have light shining from them! Even if it is only the light of Christ, which lights up the whole earth! We ALL will have light shining from us, but we won't necessarily see our own light ourselves. I think that is amazing!! I'm excited to see the people that have been SO humble here on earth, be blessed and rewarded BIG time in heaven!!
Today be honest. Be honest with God, and repent/confess anything that is separating you from Him (sin) and thank Him for His goodness, that He can and will give you through Jesus. Today, allow the Holy Spirit to bless others through you and your actions, thoughts, words, and kindness towards them. Even if it is just letting someone in front of you that is changing lanes on the road ;-) I pray you are blessed by kindness today. Be well, be safe - you ARE loved!
