Close Your Eyes & Imagine

Proverbs 24:3-4 “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”

Wow, the MEF (minds eye flash) I had with these verses!! I saw the blueprints of a house come alive! All of the geometry signs working together forming things. Like the very drawings on the paper started lifting up and becoming a building. Yet, the foundation, the walls, each and every post – were made out of the words of God. Like they came to life, and stood in their place to hold the house up. Then, almost like a library FILLED with books, each book with its vibrant colors, sizes, shapes, textures… all became things filling the house. The colors are magnificent: deep ruby reds as well as bright fire-truck reds. Greens so crisp like fresh grass in a meadow, as well as the green made by the oceans waves. Oh! The blues! The swirl of different shades filling each spot in the rooms – from really light like the noon day sky, to the super deep royal blue of night – these blend of colors are tucked in and around each and every nook and cranny of the house! They looked like treasures so beautiful and detailed, that I could hardly keep focused on one at a time! It was like every bit of ‘understanding’ or ‘knowledge’ that I have learned over the years in the bible, were coming to life and being made into some sort of rare thing here in this house. They became the best sunbeams ever! Oh how I wish I could draw what I saw! The colors, the textures, the way it all moved and changed in a vision that was so beautiful and amazing!

Gosh – I believe, if we look into our lives, we will be able to look around us and “see” these treasures that God has filled our ‘body’ – His temple with! Looking back at scriptures that have jumped out at us, or have dropped a bomb on us right when and where we needed it! THOSE are moments that we are being surrounded by His precious treasures. Those are moments that in our very heart and soul, He has placed a room filled with this wisdom, understanding and knowledge.

Today, take a minute (or 10) and look around you. Look through your bible and any notes you have written in it, or on the papers in the pages… and “see” how those rare and beautiful treasures are right there in your life! Maybe jot down a few that have jumped out you lately. Go for a walk, look around you and “see” all of the treasure He is blessing you with! Go ahead, put on your “God Glasses” and ask Him to show you what He wants you to see today. I pray you will be in awe, and that He will show you something like I just saw – it was SO amazing!!!
