Feeling Overwhelmed - Put On Your Cape


2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT) Each time He said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

Deuteronomy 20:4 (GNT) The Lord your God is going with you, and He will give you victory.

Philippians 4:13 (GNT) I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me.

Isaiah 43:4 (NLT) Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.


I am feeling a bit inadequate today. Well, all last week really. Add last week to this week, and the feelings got even bigger and more powerful. Well, they “were”.

I feel that we are SO blessed/lucky to be able to look up scriptures in our bibles that focus on truths to our feelings, emotions, situations, and even our circumstances. I am printing these, and taking them with me today. They will be what I continually read and draw strength from. His word has never failed me yet, and I trust completely that His word will carry me through this time as well. I am praying for you (and myself) that if you are feeling overwhelmed today, that you draw strength from His word, His truth, His talking straight to you (me) – and that you will overcome these feelings. No matter what is causing them – HIS strength is better than anything we can do on our own! PLUS: He actually CHOSE you! He paid a high price for you! Lives were traded so that YOU can be in the safety of the arms of God. Why?!?! Why me? Why you? Because we are precious to Him and He loves you! He loves me! We are to realize that He does this because we are His children and we are being honored by Him. Wow! We truly do have "super powers" - it is the 'cape' of Gods words that we can put on and wear proudly! I say today, we ALL put on our Super Powers Cape and ride the winds of change with Him. Be well today. Be safe. Be blessed! With the love of Christ I am praying for you and your day. Know that you are loved and going to be taken care of.

How To Be Rich...In Good Works

1 Timothy‬ ‭6:17-19 “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life."      What an amazing passage!! Even if we are not rich by our standards or the worlds...we CAN be 'rich in good works'! Being generous isn't always about money. It can be time, conversation, love, kindness... Remember, when we 'do to the least of these' we are doing it to/for Jesus. Today, you have the opportunity to 'experience true life' - you do!! How? What Does Twilight Look Like To You

Isaiah 21:4 (NIV) My heart falters, fear makes me tremble; the twilight I longed for has become a horror to me. This chapter contains prophecies against  Babylon ,  Edom  and  Arabia . However, this verse jumped out at me for a different reason. First of all, I had a bit of an MEF (mind’s eye flash) of sitting on a porch overlooking the vast sky towards a big open space. Watching the sun set. Actually sitting there anticipating the setting sun and all of the colors that will be painted across the sky at twilight. How amazing and beautiful the sky becomes each and every night, as God uses it to create a magnificent canvas of art for us to enjoy! I am absolutely amazed each time I see His wonderful sunsets! Then the MEF changed. These verses reminded me of the times I have lost loved ones. How that beautiful night sky became a symbol of the fear, yes even horror of the night to come. How To Avoid Meaningless Conversations

1 Timothy‬ ‭1:4-5 “Don’t let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations, which don’t help people live a life of faith in God. The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith."      Have you ever had a conversation with someone that feels like 'it's SO off track' or that leads to a debate of things that just 'don't feel right'? LISTEN to that Red Flag from the Holy Spirit! Excuse yourself, and walk away! Why? Because the enemy uses these crazy opinions & topics to dance around in your head and thoughts for days, weeks, even months ahead. Being a part of a conversation that gets so derailed from truth, is NOT good for anyone!
