Proverbs‬ ‭24:3-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬ "A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables." What a beautiful MEF (minds eye flash) I had reading these verses. Looking at a piece of land, where a house is going to be built. It is bare, nothing there. Then all of a sudden, there is a foundation. However, the foundation has 'words' all over it! Words and sayings with phrases that are good and wise: foresight, experience, caution, knowledge, balance, learning.... Then there is a person, bent over, smoothing out the last bit of cement, and His name is Wisdom. I can just tell. It exudes from Him without Him even saying a word. The little yet mighty book called "Jesus Calling by Sarah Young is SO awesome!! God's timing is always SO perfect!! She writes from a place of God speaking right to us! It is pretty neat! And, it always seems to fit at just the right time.  Here is May 19th I want you to know how safe and secure you are in My Presence. That is a fact, totally independent of your feelings. You are on your way to heaven; nothing can prevent you from reaching that destination. There you will see Me face-to-Face, and your Joy will be off the charts by any earthly standards. Even now, you are never separated from Me, though you must see Me through eyes of faith. I will walk with you till the end of time and onward into eternity. Watcher, Keeper, Protector, Guardian

Who can be ALL of these things: Watcher, Keeper, Protector, Guardian? The Lord of course! Reading Psalms 121 today in 4 different versions of the bible, gave me just a hint of a different perspective of our Lord today! He is called our Lord and that He is where our strength comes from in all four versions. However, just when I needed to remember, that we are all different, and we hear/learn differently - I see the "same" verse in four different ways. Of course - this gave me a MEF (minds eye flash) with each of them. Verse 3 NLT (new living translation) -  He will not let you stumble;  the One who watches over you will not slumber. MSG (the message) -  He won’t let you stumble,  your Guardian God won’t fall asleep. Not on your life!  GNT (good news translation) - He will not let you fall; you Protector is always awake. Throw Some Wood On The Fire

2 Timothy 1:6-7 (MSG) "and now to you! And the special gift of ministry you received when I laid hands on you and prayed - keep that ablaze! God doesn't want us to be she with His gifts, but bold and loving and sensible."      So, how is your "fire" for the Lord? Has it gone out? Is it just the embers slowly fading? Perhaps it is the kindling just starting the fire? How big and thick is your "log for the Lord"? Is it just small pieces of kindling, several small branches, or is it a solid log? The MEF (minds eye flash) I had today, was of a fire in a really big pit. Seeing the "gifts" of God as bits and pieces of wood in this pit. It moved from little to big, back to little again. Seeing the darkness of the wood change colors as it started to blaze up. How To Be Rich...In Good Works

1 Timothy‬ ‭6:17-19 “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life."      What an amazing passage!! Even if we are not rich by our standards or the worlds...we CAN be 'rich in good works'! Being generous isn't always about money. It can be time, conversation, love, kindness... Remember, when we 'do to the least of these' we are doing it to/for Jesus. Today, you have the opportunity to 'experience true life' - you do!! How? What Does Twilight Look Like To You

Isaiah 21:4 (NIV) My heart falters, fear makes me tremble; the twilight I longed for has become a horror to me. This chapter contains prophecies against  Babylon ,  Edom  and  Arabia . However, this verse jumped out at me for a different reason. First of all, I had a bit of an MEF (mind’s eye flash) of sitting on a porch overlooking the vast sky towards a big open space. Watching the sun set. Actually sitting there anticipating the setting sun and all of the colors that will be painted across the sky at twilight. How amazing and beautiful the sky becomes each and every night, as God uses it to create a magnificent canvas of art for us to enjoy! I am absolutely amazed each time I see His wonderful sunsets! Then the MEF changed. These verses reminded me of the times I have lost loved ones. How that beautiful night sky became a symbol of the fear, yes even horror of the night to come. You Will Not Be Alone

No matter what you are going through, where you have been, or where you dream of going - you will NEVER be left by the wayside, standing alone. This is a promise from God! One we can cling to and pray back to Him when we are feeling "alone". In the little but mighty book, Jesus Calling, today's message is super powerful! The part that jumped out at me, was that Jesus' LAST words to us, are that He is always with us, and will never leave us! Pretty stinkin' neat if I do say so myself! Yet, another "promise" we can add to our list of promises from God.  Then, I realized, that when God sent us the Holy Spirit, this is Jesus IN us, for us - WITH US! Again, wowzers! Even when life throws us curve balls, and we feel like no one understands or that no one is "with us" - we can be assured, that Jesus IS with us - each and every day. Proverbs 17:1 (NASB) “ Better is a dry morsel and quietness with it than a house full of feasting with strife. ” What is it like at your dinner table? Do you even sit at the table together as a family? Sadly, most of us have gotten out of this amazing habit. Instead, we are eating either in front of the TV or at a computer. No real conversations with other people. How about the table when it is a holiday? When you are gathering family members for the day, or even just a few hours, what are the conversations like when it is time to eat? Do you sit down together at one big table, or at smaller ‘groupings’ of tables? Do you all just pick a spot and eat off your lap? What are the conversations that go on at these gatherings? My husband and I experienced holiday gathers a bit different from each other. The "air" around us. Even in fog, there is light. I am praying for ANY fog you are experiencing, to be LIFTED today! Which Dog Are You Feeding

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9:1-2, 9-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Verses 1-2: I will praise You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. I will be filled with joy because of You. I will sing praises to Your name, O Most High. Verses 9-10: The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for You. Here again, are promises from God for us! Verses 9-10 tell us just WHO God is to/for us. He shelters us and is the One we can run to at any time, day or night! We can trust Him and all He tells us, directs us, and guides us in. When we seek Him, His wisdom, and His direction in things - even just in everyday living - He does not leave us, and will NEVER abandon us!
