Strength Under Pressure


Proverbs 24:10
(NIV) If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength!
(MSG) If you fall to pieces in a crisis, there wasn’t much to you in the first place.
(GNT) If you are weak in a crisis, you are weak indeed.
(NLT) If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small.

Well now. Talk about perfect timing. I am struggling with something right now. My lack of abilities that I “thought” I had. The feeling of being very inadequate and not representing myself accurately as I “thought” my skills were.

The “strength” written here, to me represents “faith” – and I feel I have a pretty good amount of faith, normally. I have TOTAL faith in the Lord, but not as much in myself I guess LOL. I realize as read through this chapter of the Proverbs, that it isn’t about me at all. It is about our heart and faith, Who we trust in, and what we stand on in our beliefs.

Well, I believe that the Lord brought me to this position, and He provided the knowledge that I do have. So, I trust that He will help guide, train, and teach me what I need to learn to know my job better. I want to be a good representation of my company, do for my team, and bring glory to God – I can NOT do this on my own or in my own strength!

Today, I am praying for you, as I request you pray for me: to be good stewards of our time and study and learn whatever we need to, in order to be better at our jobs. Anyone dealing with the public, a team, or people via the internet – we ALL can learn new skills to make us better at our jobs. Yes, even those that stay home, there are tons of things to learn about housekeeping, teaching children for their future, caring for others…. We ALL benefit from doing better at what we do now ;-)

WOW!! Just popped in my head! That is why or how the bible is a “living” thing!! It is the very breath of God, which goes in and out of us, like breath/life. It moves, grows, changes, and bends us in ways that only LIFE can do! That is why it really is NOT just an old history book. It teaches us something new EVERY day! Wowzers! So, today, if you are under pressure from someone outside or from inner forces, I am praying for you to have confidence in yourself as you have the Holy Spirit inside of you! With man, things are faulty and impossible, but with God – ALL things are possible!! I’m praying for your courage and inner faith and trust in Him to bring you through whatever you may be dealing with. We ARE His bright and shining 'diamond' even if we still have a bit of 'coal' around us LOL. Beloved, I pray you are well, safe, and blessed today!

How To Be Rich...In Good Works

1 Timothy‬ ‭6:17-19 “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life."      What an amazing passage!! Even if we are not rich by our standards or the worlds...we CAN be 'rich in good works'! Being generous isn't always about money. It can be time, conversation, love, kindness... Remember, when we 'do to the least of these' we are doing it to/for Jesus. Today, you have the opportunity to 'experience true life' - you do!! How? What Does Twilight Look Like To You

Isaiah 21:4 (NIV) My heart falters, fear makes me tremble; the twilight I longed for has become a horror to me. This chapter contains prophecies against  Babylon ,  Edom  and  Arabia . However, this verse jumped out at me for a different reason. First of all, I had a bit of an MEF (mind’s eye flash) of sitting on a porch overlooking the vast sky towards a big open space. Watching the sun set. Actually sitting there anticipating the setting sun and all of the colors that will be painted across the sky at twilight. How amazing and beautiful the sky becomes each and every night, as God uses it to create a magnificent canvas of art for us to enjoy! I am absolutely amazed each time I see His wonderful sunsets! Then the MEF changed. These verses reminded me of the times I have lost loved ones. How that beautiful night sky became a symbol of the fear, yes even horror of the night to come. How To Avoid Meaningless Conversations

1 Timothy‬ ‭1:4-5 “Don’t let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations, which don’t help people live a life of faith in God. The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith."      Have you ever had a conversation with someone that feels like 'it's SO off track' or that leads to a debate of things that just 'don't feel right'? LISTEN to that Red Flag from the Holy Spirit! Excuse yourself, and walk away! Why? Because the enemy uses these crazy opinions & topics to dance around in your head and thoughts for days, weeks, even months ahead. Being a part of a conversation that gets so derailed from truth, is NOT good for anyone!
