Re-Gifting Our Troubles
Psalm 120:1
(NLT) I took my
troubles to the
Lord; I cried
out to Him, and He answered my prayer.
Here is another verse for our War Book /
Scripture Log. Some simple yet needed truth that we need to be reminded of from
time to time.
The thing is, God is open 24/7 – He NEVER sleeps
or takes time off, or leaves us. He is looking over and watching over us all
the time. So, He actually already knows our troubles before we even bring them
to Him. So, why do we need to bring them to Him? Well, not for His sake, but
for ours. It is to build up our relationship with Jesus and to build up our
faith in Him and His power in us. The Holy Spirit, like God, and as an example
through Jesus – is a gentleman. Jesus is never pushy, rude, or overbearing. He
will never barge in uninvited.
The thing about prayer, is that He always answers
us – just not always the way we want, desire, or expect even. A long time ago,
I was told that God answers prayer three ways: 1) yes, now! 2) yes, but wait,
My timing is best. 3) yes, but in My way, My way is best. I actually have this
written in the front section of my bible. It has come in handy a few times,
when I feel like I’ve taken my troubles to the Lord, and it doesn’t seem to be
going as I ‘planned’ – LOL
It just struck me, taking our troubles to the
Lord are like taking Him a gift! What?!?! I know, I know – that’s crazy Lisa
Marie – a gift?!?! Yes! I mean, what better thing to do than to trust God so
much, that we go to Him with good and bad things. Praises and Thank You’s as
well as struggles, concerns and troubles. However, like a ‘gift’ that we give
someone, once it leaves our hands, it is no longer ours to say what or how to
use that gift. Yes, even if that gift is given to someone else, re-gifted so to
speak. However, if there is ever anyone who KNOWS who or how to re-gift our
troubles, it IS the Lord! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe He will transfer
our troubles onto someone else, but I do believe that He shares our needs with
those that are able or equipped to help us with our needs. Sometimes it is a
professional, and sometimes it is a friend. It has even happened to be someone
that we may think our enemy. The BEST ones, are the unexpected ones! God is SO
creative! His resources are so unlimited, and He uses people, places, and
things to answer our prayers. Sometimes, we just have to be open and receptive
to Him.
Today, whatever you may have on your plate that is
troubling you, take it before the One who CAN and WILL provide an answer to
you. You never know how He will answer your needs. So be on the alert. It could
be through a child or an animal even. His ways are FAR beyond our ways!
However, His ways ARE the best!! I will be praying for you today. Be well, be
safe, and be blessed!
