Truth is Not Always Easy

Sometimes, we can fall for things that are not of God, by simply living life and "doing our own thing". Yet, self-seeking is not the way to Truth.

S: John 5:43-44 (TPT) 43 I have come to represent My Father, yet you refuse to embrace Me in faith. But when someone comes in their own name and with their own agenda, you readily accept him. 44 Of course you’re unable to believe in Me. For you live for the praises of others and not for the praise that comes from the only true God.

T: The love of God and seeking the One True God – is not in the people that are called critics against Jesus. The Pharisees and Sadducee's and I am sure a few of their followers. Jesus represented God and was told about even by Moses – yet these people didn’t believe in Him. However, they DID believe in others that came with their own agenda. They even did some “trying to rise up” of themselves. Believing in their own ways and the ways of others and not God’s.
People that were wanting to skate by with just enough rules, even if they didn’t apply to them, and just enough praise from others – believed what these were “selling” and fell for being pulled away from God, and therefore away from Jesus and the Truth.
Just like today. There are SO many false religions. So many people saying there is a “different way” to reach God and heaven. Yet, it is really self-centered, self-promoting, and pulling away from the real faith in God = Jesus.

A: I need to remember to look to, for and at Jesus FIRST in all of the things I get my mind set on. Ideas, work, activities… my “agenda” needs to be run through the filter of Jesus FIRST! My faith and trust need to be such as that I run to Him FIRST and allow the Spirit to minister and guide and direct me.

R: Oh Papa! Gosh! I have messed this up! A LOT L Why is that?!?! Because now that I am an ‘adult’ I was taught that I should be able to make my own decisions, and do things my own way? Because we have been taught that leaning on others is not the way to rise up? Wow – whatever the reason – I have fallen for it, will You forgive me? (Yes, My precious daughter, I forgive you) Papa – why have I not seen these things in Your word before? (You have hosen to take the easy way in the past. Instead of deepening our relationship, you have gone for what is quick and easy. You are growing in all real spiritual beauty now, as you seek Me in all things. Your heart is more open and receptive now to My truth. Keep seeking My child.) Oh Daddy! Thank You! Yes, following the Proverbs and or Psalms was an “easy way” to read Your word. And I know I DID learn a LOT and build up my faith in those – but now, in the book of John, I am seeing YOU and hearing Your words in ways that I have not done before. Thank You!!
