Go Ahead - Flip Your Sign

Proverbs 11 - is filled with opposites: good & bad, as well as right & wrong. Today, was a little bit of a reflection of sorts. Not only ways we are to live, but actions we are to do as well. How we treat others as well as ourselves, has a LOT to do with the outcome of our circumstances. God didn't design us to be alone, or separated from Him! When we follow His way of doing things, things just seem to work out. 

      Below is just a little food for thought as we go about our day. Proverbs is FULL of wisdom, but it also is pretty straight forward with what we should and should not do. We need to get certain words OUT of our vocabulary as well as OUT of our behaviors!! It takes hard work and dedication to be the OPPOSITE of what our 'natural selves' want to do and be! 
     Perhaps you are being guided or directed by the harsh words or actions from someone in your past. Or, you have someone in your life that has used words that have cut deep, and have left a lasting impression of what people "expect" you to be. Well, you CAN break those old words and actions that are on continual 'repeat' in your "self-mind-talk"! God wants us to be in a relationship with Him, and bring these cares and concerns to Him. Through His grace and mercy - this old pattern of life CAN be changed! Yes, it takes practice on our part - but it is well worth it to do so!! No, you may not have success over night with all areas, but imagine IF YOU DID!! If you really could be free from all of the negative influences around you now, or floating around you from your past! What a different life you would have! What a different day you would have! Right now, you can have this - right this minute! However, you cannot do it alone. I beg of you to ask Jesus, if He is real. Then ask that He will change your mindset of yourself, change your way of thinking, as well as change your way of behaving. Ask Him to make you aware of the moments when you try to revert to what 'someone else' impressed on you. Ask Him to give you a "new you", one that matches His view of you. His view of you, is loving, kind, generous, patient, gentle, encouraging, wise, fair, controlled..... He also views you as worthy, valuable, precious, unlike any other, unique, special, victorious, strong, trustworthy, and an absolute joy to His heart! Really, He does see you like this - really!! The bible tells us so, and I believe it, and so should you!

Today, give a little thought to your words, actions and thoughts. There are TONS of blessings waiting for each and every one of us - by doing 'life' God's way! Are you ready to be filled and blessed with the riches of God? Then CHANGE your mindset and thoughts! Your actions will follow, when you heart and mind change. I'm praying for your day to be productive and successful in all that you do!

Hate has 4 letters but so does Love
Poor has 4 letters but so does Rich

How To Be Rich...In Good Works

1 Timothy‬ ‭6:17-19 “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life."      What an amazing passage!! Even if we are not rich by our standards or the worlds...we CAN be 'rich in good works'! Being generous isn't always about money. It can be time, conversation, love, kindness... Remember, when we 'do to the least of these' we are doing it to/for Jesus. Today, you have the opportunity to 'experience true life' - you do!! How? What Does Twilight Look Like To You

Isaiah 21:4 (NIV) My heart falters, fear makes me tremble; the twilight I longed for has become a horror to me. This chapter contains prophecies against  Babylon ,  Edom  and  Arabia . However, this verse jumped out at me for a different reason. First of all, I had a bit of an MEF (mind’s eye flash) of sitting on a porch overlooking the vast sky towards a big open space. Watching the sun set. Actually sitting there anticipating the setting sun and all of the colors that will be painted across the sky at twilight. How amazing and beautiful the sky becomes each and every night, as God uses it to create a magnificent canvas of art for us to enjoy! I am absolutely amazed each time I see His wonderful sunsets! Then the MEF changed. These verses reminded me of the times I have lost loved ones. How that beautiful night sky became a symbol of the fear, yes even horror of the night to come. The beauty might as well have turned to ashes at that moment ...

How To Avoid Meaningless Conversations

1 Timothy‬ ‭1:4-5 “Don’t let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations, which don’t help people live a life of faith in God. The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith."      Have you ever had a conversation with someone that feels like 'it's SO off track' or that leads to a debate of things that just 'don't feel right'? LISTEN to that Red Flag from the Holy Spirit! Excuse yourself, and walk away! Why? Because the enemy uses these crazy opinions & topics to dance around in your head and thoughts for days, weeks, even months ahead. Being a part of a conversation that gets so derailed from truth, is NOT good for anyone!
