Have You Ever Been Compared To A Rock

Psalm 148:13 “Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted; His splendor is above the earth and the heavens."

The whole chapter is only 14 verses, read it. I've read in the Bible before 'even the rocks cry out' - but this Psalm, shows ALL of creation, everything on earth and above in the sky - EVERYTHING has a way of praising God! What?! Well, my minds eye went to animals. Even tho they don't have the same mind and soul as we do, they have an understanding of the circle of life. Respect. They know night and day..... I'm thinking, when they eat, something in them is thankful. Because, then they relax, and care for their young. Now trees - hmmmm, they bend and sway and produce its fruit. They thirst for water. When they get it, I imagine they do something that produces something than can be considered praise. It knows the seasons. How? By God!! Maybe that's their way of praising Him. Wow! A totally different way of looking at everything! Now rocks. That's a hard one LOL However, it just popped into my mind, about how rocks can look plain on the outside, but be holding precious gems on the inside! All sorts of gems come from rocks. Then, there are the natural rock formations around. They all seem to be pointing up, like raising their heads to God, and I can only imagine in praise! True, they don't have a brain, yet somehow they create. Gosh! If even the "rocks" cry out to God, shouldn't we?!?!

We have breath, life, a mind to think and reason - today, praise God. Perhaps notice how the clouds, sky, birds, trees and even rocks...are all praising God - and join in. Go through the alphabet if needed, praising God for something around you that begins with each letter. Be safe and well today, may you be blessed with productivity and success in all you put your hands to today!
