How Do You Fight Battles

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭140:8, 11, 12-13‬
Vs 8: “Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord; do not let their plans succeed."
Vs 11: "May slanderers not be established in the land; may disaster hunt down the violent."
Vs 12-13: "I know that the Lord secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy. Surely the righteous will praise Your name, and the upright will live in Your presence."

     You know, it is VERY hard for me to pray against or wish I'll towards someone....however, the Lord reminded me today, that He fights our battles for us! He is the One who can bring about change, and make a difference! With our country being split, and people causing division - this just fits.

     Verses 8 & 11 are my prayer against anyone who is against Gods will and ways. Verses 12 & 13 are our promise! Today, I pray you live in Gods presence! Spend time with Him in His word, with praises thru the ABC's, by listening to praise music, by praying for others. That's how we live in His presence.

Throw Some Wood On The Fire

2 Timothy 1:6-7 (MSG) "and now to you! And the special gift of ministry you received when I laid hands on you and prayed - keep that ablaze! God doesn't want us to be she with His gifts, but bold and loving and sensible."      So, how is your "fire" for the Lord? Has it gone out? Is it just the embers slowly fading? Perhaps it is the kindling just starting the fire? How big and thick is your "log for the Lord"? Is it just small pieces of kindling, several small branches, or is it a solid log? The MEF (minds eye flash) I had today, was of a fire in a really big pit. Seeing the "gifts" of God as bits and pieces of wood in this pit. It moved from little to big, back to little again. How To Be Rich...In Good Works

1 Timothy‬ ‭6:17-19 “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life."      What an amazing passage!! Even if we are not rich by our standards or the worlds...we CAN be 'rich in good works'! Being generous isn't always about money. It can be time, conversation, love, kindness... How do I know which way to go in life? A question I have asked myself MANY times! Isaiah 48:17 (NLT) Scripture – This is what the  Lord  says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the  Lord  your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow. What Does Twilight Look Like To You

Isaiah 21:4 (NIV) My heart falters, fear makes me tremble; the twilight I longed for has become a horror to me. This chapter contains prophecies against  Babylon ,  Edom  and  Arabia . However, this verse jumped out at me for a different reason. First of all, I had a bit of an MEF (mind’s eye flash) of sitting on a porch overlooking the vast sky towards a big open space. Watching the sun set. Actually sitting there anticipating the setting sun and all of the colors that will be painted across the sky at twilight. How amazing and beautiful the sky becomes each and every night, as God uses it to create a magnificent canvas of art for us to enjoy! I am absolutely amazed each time I see His wonderful sunsets! Then the MEF changed. These verses reminded me of the times I have lost loved ones. How that beautiful night sky became a symbol of the fear, yes even horror of the night to come. Do You Need A Crown Of Victory

What kind of victory are you needing today? Psalm 149:4 (NLT) For the Lord delights in His people; He crowns the humble with victory. The Lord “delights” in His people. Delights. What comes to your mind as you hear that word? Do you have a memory or vision that pops in your head? I do! Watching young children at play, learning new things. Watching a toddler walk and even run with glee as they are being chased by a parent or grandparent. Yes, I can imagine we can bring this kind of delight to our Lord daily. Being Laughed At May Be The Start Of A Miracle

Mark 5:40-42 "The crowd laughed at Him. But He made then all leave, and He took the girl's father and mother and His three disciples into the room where the girl was lying. Holding her hand, He said to her, "Talitha koum," which means "Little girl, get up!" And the girl, who was twelve years old, immediately stood up and walked around! They were overwhelmed and totally amazed." Well, ALL of this chapter is a GREAT read!! This story jumped out at me, due to the fact that the girl was resurrected. BUT before she was resurrected, Jesus "sent away" those that were mocking/laughing at Him. I believe they were mocking the parents as well, for even having an ounce of belief and trust that Jesus could or would DO something for the girl. THEN for Him to say, that she is not dead, but 'sleeping' - well, all sorts of ridicule, mocking and laughing took place! Here's the thing. How To Get Back On Track

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)   " All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work."      As we begin another new year, we all try and think of things we want to do better in our lives. Habits we want to change, things we want to accomplish, places we want to go.... According to these verses, ALL of scripture is useful in one way or another. To guide us out of troubles we find ourselves in and to protect us from choices we might make. How do we "get back on track" for the new year? Well, the easiest way I have found, is reading a Proverb each day that goes along with the date. So on the 1st of the month you read Proverbs 1. Then on the 2nd you read Proverbs 2. How To Fill Your Home With Treasures

Proverbs‬ ‭24:3-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬ "A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables." What a beautiful MEF (minds eye flash) I had reading these verses. Looking at a piece of land, where a house is going to be built. It is bare, nothing there. Then all of a sudden, there is a foundation. However, the foundation has 'words' all over it! Words and sayings with phrases that are good and wise: foresight, experience, caution, knowledge, balance, learning.... Then there is a person, bent over, smoothing out the last bit of cement, and His name is Wisdom. I can just tell. It exudes from Him without Him even saying a word.
