In Hard Times, We Do Not Need To Be Afraid

Isaiah 41:10 "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand."

Exodus 15:6 "Your right hand, O Lord, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O Lord, smashes the enemy."

Psalm 136:12 "He acted with a strong hand and powerful arm. His faithful love endures forever."

Psalm 118:6-7a "The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? Yes, the Lord is for me; He will help me."

Proverbs 3:21, 23-24 "My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment... Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble; when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet."

Isaiah 12:2 "Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation."

Matthew 10:29-31 "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."

Today, my brother-in-love is undergoing brain surgery (7:30am CA time) for a cancerous tumor that is moving very fast and is very aggressive. This is the same type of tumor that took his sight when he was 10 years old. Today starts very aggressive fighting against it. He and his wife (my husbands sister) and daughter are believers in Jesus. I'm asking that you pray for all them to have strengthened faith, courage, and trust.

Yes, there is a lot that could go wrong, a lot that could drastically change their lives forever. However, I believe that Jesus is right there in the middle of it with them. Even if the removal of this tumor takes away his long-term memory, and he forgets who his family is - I believe that God will provide a way for them to reconnect.

I am strengthened and encouraged by these verses! They are for each and every one of us, in any and all situations we face each and every day. Please pray for the medical staff involved in this surgery today. Life up the family. Our God is a God of mercy. He is in control and will do the very best for drawing others to Him through this. Thank you in advance for praying today! :-)
