Are You Ready To Jump

Psalm 13:5-6
(NIV)  But I trust in Your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in Your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for He has been good to me.

(MSG) I’ve thrown myself headlong into Your arms—I’m celebrating Your rescue. I’m singing at the top of my lungs, I’m so full of answered prayers.

This chapter in Psalms is a short one, but one we ALL can relate to! King David wrote most of the Psalms, and this one relates to his feeling like he has ‘suffered’ enough. That God had turned His back on him. How his enemy seemed to be laughing at and triumphing over him. What jumped out at me was at the very end. These last two verses should be our daily motto! This is living with the ‘expectation’ that God is Who He is, and can do what He does – and that we, as His children, can ask for things ‘expecting’ His rescue! Plus, the singing praises of just how many answered prayers He has answered – filling up our lungs – this should be our daily routine towards God!

This is one of the verses that lead me to praising God through the ABC’s with things that I am thankful for. Today, let’s look around us. Read old journals if necessary. Look around and reflect on prayers that have been answered. Start with 3. Praise God for answering these prayers and acknowledge the way He answered it. Then throughout the day, look for other ways He has answered prayers for you and your loved ones. Keep it personal, until lunch time. Then expand your praises to another 3 of ways He has answered prayers in your town or neighborhood. Then by supper, acknowledge another 3 ways He has answered prayers worldwide. By the time you go to bed, you will have been singing praises to Him all day long. God enjoys us ‘throwing ourselves’ in His arms just as we enjoy our child, grandchild, niece/nephew, any little kid that throws themselves into our arms! Jump! Jump into His arms today! Celebrate His many blessings to and around you. Go ahead, shout it out – or sing it out! It’s a great way to go through our day! <3 Picture yourself as one of the family members that a military person is coming home to surprise.... The overjoyed excitement of leaping into His arms, is just like one of those moments! Just jump! Giggle, laugh, praise Him! Have a GREAT day!! Be well, be safe, and be blessed!
