Does It Matter If I Worry About My Clothes

Matthew 6:25, 28-29, 30-33 "Therefore, I tell you, don't worry about your life - what you will eat or drink or wear. Isn't there more to life than food and clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and notice how they grow. They don't work, they don't weave; yet I'm telling you, that even King Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. If God clothes the grass of the field like this, which is here today and burned up tomorrow, will He not take more care in clothing you, O you of such small faith? Therefore, don't worry by asking "What will we eat?" or "What will we drink?"or "What will we wear?" For the unbelievers worry about these things, but your heavenly Father knows you need all these things. So make His kingdom and His righteousness your top priority, then all these things will be supplied to you."

Well, there you have it! God wants us to wear clothes, and be modest in that, but He doesn't want us to 'worry' about where or how we get them. I can testify to this BIG time!! As my journey of losing weight so quickly after weight loss surgery has progressed, I have "needed" clothes quite often. The Lord blessed me SO many times with hand-me-downs, great deals at stores, and 'free' clothes from yard sales. Truly, each different phase I went through, He had someone or someplace at just the right time, bless me! I still do not worry about it - He STILL provides for me! This past weekend, He blessed me with finding a box of my 'small' clothes that I had packed away for several years. It was like Christmas!

If you are worried about 'where or how' you will be clothed - KNOW this: He is your Father. He knows you inside and out. He knows what styles you like, and what looks best on you. He will provide for you! Plus, I can almost bet, you have some things that you could pass on and bless someone else with, I know I can purge a bit myself.

Today, even if what you have to wear is not what you 'really' want to wear - be thankful you actually have clothes to wear! LOL Being content with what we have, is a quality of the heart. Which turns into blessings. Hope you have a GREAT rest of your day!! You are more valuable and precious that the flowers and grass, so enjoy what the Lord blesses you with to wear. :-) Be well. How To Be Rich...In Good Works

1 Timothy‬ ‭6:17-19 “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life."      What an amazing passage!! Even if we are not rich by our standards or the worlds...we CAN be 'rich in good works'! Being generous isn't always about money. It can be time, conversation, love, kindness... What Does Twilight Look Like To You

Isaiah 21:4 (NIV) My heart falters, fear makes me tremble; the twilight I longed for has become a horror to me. This chapter contains prophecies against  Babylon ,  Edom  and  Arabia . However, this verse jumped out at me for a different reason. First of all, I had a bit of an MEF (mind’s eye flash) of sitting on a porch overlooking the vast sky towards a big open space. Watching the sun set. Actually sitting there anticipating the setting sun and all of the colors that will be painted across the sky at twilight. How amazing and beautiful the sky becomes each and every night, as God uses it to create a magnificent canvas of art for us to enjoy! I am absolutely amazed each time I see His wonderful sunsets! Then the MEF changed. These verses reminded me of the times I have lost loved ones. How that beautiful night sky became a symbol of the fear, yes even horror of the night to come. How To Avoid Meaningless Conversations

1 Timothy‬ ‭1:4-5 “Don’t let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations, which don’t help people live a life of faith in God. The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith."      Have you ever had a conversation with someone that feels like 'it's SO off track' or that leads to a debate of things that just 'don't feel right'? LISTEN to that Red Flag from the Holy Spirit! Excuse yourself, and walk away! Why? Because the enemy uses these crazy opinions & topics to dance around in your head and thoughts for days, weeks, even months ahead.
