What/Who Are You Following Today


We all seem to "follow" something or someone. It is not always a bad thing. We can follow successful people to become successful. We can follow honest people to become more aware. When we follow Jesus, we can be and do anything, because He is the ultimate example to follow!

S: John 6:2
NLT “A huge crowd kept following Him wherever He went, because they saw His miraculous signs as He healed the sick.”
NASB “A large crowd followed Him, because they saw the signs which He was performing on those who were sick.”
TPT “And a massive crowd of people followed him everywhere. They were attracted by his miracles and the healings they watched him perform.”

T: People follow success. People follow dreams. People follow “the crowd” LOL This verse doesn’t say they followed Jesus because of their faith, it says because they saw Him do miracles! WOW! Not even because the “heard” what Jesus said or did, but because they “saw” it. Were they like the people of today, even myself, that follow someone and what they to “to see more”? Because of the blessing it is? Hmmm, here I was “judging” them based on the idea of their faith NOT being true, but just following the crowd. Ouch! Thank You Spirit for nudging me with this idea too.
        If I were alive back then, I would have followed too. Because of the blessing and then being able to praise God for doing the blessing to so many others.

A: We (I) are all too often attracted by ‘things’ that we do, or what we see people do. Instead, we/I need to seek out and follow Jesus. The truth. The way, the LIFE! It is totally OK to follow Him through the scriptures. Hang on His every word. Follow His every move. Step into all of the locations. In doing so, we/I will become like minded with Him. Examples of Him.

R: Papa, thank You for allowing the Spirit to nudge me to see from a different view! Thank You for showing me that sometimes ‘following’ is good and alright to do. Father, I pray that I can see, witness, hear, and follow Your miracles through the bible and here in the real-life world I live in now. Thank You Jesus for living, breathing, and moving here and now amongst us and in my life today! Truly, thank You!!

How To Be Rich...In Good Works

1 Timothy‬ ‭6:17-19 “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life."      What an amazing passage!! Even if we are not rich by our standards or the worlds...we CAN be 'rich in good works'! Being generous isn't always about money. It can be time, conversation, love, kindness... Remember, when we 'do to the least of these' we are doing it to/for Jesus. Today, you have the opportunity to 'experience true life' - you do!! How? How To Fill Your Home With Treasures

Proverbs‬ ‭24:3-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬ "A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables." What a beautiful MEF (minds eye flash) I had reading these verses. Looking at a piece of land, where a house is going to be built. It is bare, nothing there. Then all of a sudden, there is a foundation. However, the foundation has 'words' all over it! Words and sayings with phrases that are good and wise: foresight, experience, caution, knowledge, balance, learning.... Then there is a person, bent over, smoothing out the last bit of cement, and His name is Wisdom. I can just tell. It exudes from Him without Him even saying a word. What Does Twilight Look Like To You

Isaiah 21:4 (NIV) My heart falters, fear makes me tremble; the twilight I longed for has become a horror to me. This chapter contains prophecies against  Babylon ,  Edom  and  Arabia . However, this verse jumped out at me for a different reason. First of all, I had a bit of an MEF (mind’s eye flash) of sitting on a porch overlooking the vast sky towards a big open space. Watching the sun set. Actually sitting there anticipating the setting sun and all of the colors that will be painted across the sky at twilight. How amazing and beautiful the sky becomes each and every night, as God uses it to create a magnificent canvas of art for us to enjoy! I am absolutely amazed each time I see His wonderful sunsets! Then the MEF changed. These verses reminded me of the times I have lost loved ones. How that beautiful night sky became a symbol of the fear, yes even horror of the night to come. Proverbs 17:1 (NASB) “ Better is a dry morsel and quietness with it than a house full of feasting with strife. ” What is it like at your dinner table? Do you even sit at the table together as a family? Sadly, most of us have gotten out of this amazing habit. Instead, we are eating either in front of the TV or at a computer. No real conversations with other people. How about the table when it is a holiday? When you are gathering family members for the day, or even just a few hours, what are the conversations like when it is time to eat? Do you sit down together at one big table, or at smaller ‘groupings’ of tables? Do you all just pick a spot and eat off your lap? What are the conversations that go on at these gatherings? My husband and I experienced holiday gathers a bit different from each other.
