How Well Do You Want To Be Known

Psalm 139:23-24

NLT - Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends You, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

MSG - Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I'm about; See for Yourself whether I've done anything wrong - then guide me on the road to eternal life.

Are you willing to be known? I mean, REALLY known, inside and out? Thoughts and actions? Are you willing to have things pointed out to you, that can change? Are you willing to be lead on the path that leads to eternal life? Well, today, these verses had me asking myself these very questions. Actually examining myself with them. Honestly, it is a bit scary to "open up" fully like these verses say to. However, God is NOT like anyone here on earth! Jesus is ALL of the character attributes of everything God says in the bible. So, to even think of comparing Him and His love for us with those that we have experienced here from people - would be a false reading of how He truly DOES love us!

With humans, when we are seeking love, we have to ask ourselves "how much am I willing to be hurt" - because you can only love to the extent to which you are willing to be hurt. However, with God, we need to ask "how much are you willing to be loved" because Jesus died for us! He gave up His time in heaven with God, came here to earth as a human. Then, he was tried and convicted of EVERY sin you and I would ever commit. THAT is love my friend! Plus, He now LIVES in us, to help us along life!! I mean, wow!! No person can do or be that here for us. No one. Sure, you can have a picture of someone around your neck. You can think of them off and on all day long. BUT, they are not actually WITH you all day long. Jesus is, in the form of the Holy Spirit. What a great gift God has giving us!!

Today, lets pray these two verses to God, and really mean it. Allow Him to tenderly guide and direct us in our day. These next 24 hours of our life. The next 16 hours of our day. The next 10 minutes of our morning. Be well my friend, be well. Be safe, and be brave to let God in and love you like no one here could ever possibly love you! Ask Him "search me O God" and see what happens!!
